VAIO recently announced two new PCs, the 13.5-inch VAIO Z, and 12.3-inch VAIO Z Canvas. Both devices will be available for the price of around $1,600, and will be powered by Windows 8.1 Pro operating system.
VAIO Z is powered by the fifth generation of Core i5 of Core i7 (depending on your choice) processors, and features a 13.3-inch display with the resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. You can also use VAIO Z as a tablet, because the device comes with an adjustable hinged back. When it comes to design, the case is made of an aluminium carbon and weights only 0.34kg and is 16.8mm thick, which means that VAIO Z is very handy and portable device.
One of the most important feature of this device is it’s battery life, as the company told us that VAIO Z’s battery lasts almost 16 hours on a single charge, but that could vary depending on your usage rate. But it’s still very good, because this is the lognest battery life of a VAIO device, ever. Also, another impressive fact about this device is that it wakes up from the standby mode for just 0.3 seconds.
The other device VAIO presented is not-less-impressive, VAIO Z Canvas. This is a hybrid device and it features a detachable keyboard, so you can use it as a laptop and as a tablet, as well. VAIO Z Canvas has a little bit smaller display than VAIO Z, with 12.3-inches running on a resolution of 2,560 x 1,704 pixels. The device is powered by Core i7 processor, and has a 256GB of SDD and 16GB of internal storage. The Z Canvas is also pretty handy and very well designed, and you won’t have any problems carrying it.
Vaio Z is already available for pre-orders in Japan, but the Canvas Z is expected to hit sores sometime in May.
