Depending on what country you live in, some websites might be unreachable. Today we will explain how you can access some websites even if your country or internet service provider (ISP) has banned from them.

uProxy for Google Chrome & Mozilla Firefox

uProxy is a browser extension for both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. This extension allows you to share your internet route with other users and eventually act as a “self-hosted” proxy server or a free VPN service. In other words, by using uProxy you will be able to make your computer act as a VPN service provider and let your friends, family or even yourself use it.

Let’s say you live in United Arab Emirates and you can’t access some website because the ISP from that country doesn’t allow you to. With uProxy, you can ask a friend from another country to use the service and give you access to the “VPN” server in order to access that website.

uProxy is a safe tool that makes it very difficult for third parties to monitor your internet usage. In other words, you will be able to unblock almost all websites as long as you connect to a computer which has access to them.

How uProxy functions

When you get internet access from a friend via uProxy, a secure connection is made between your computer and your friend’s computer. After this, you will just have to open the website on your web browser and all incoming and outgoing traffic is encrypted and then transferred to the other side. In other words, the third party service monitoring your connection will be able to see only the connection between your computer and your friend’s computer. This means that it will not be able to see what kind of traffic is on your friend’s computer.
