The free Windows 10 upgrade offer ended on July 29, but you can still get Windows 10 for free even if you missed that boat. Normally, if you want to upgrade to Windows 10 now, you have to shell out $119. However, there is still a loophole available allowing you to get Windows 10 for free.

Microsoft already announced that Windows 10 would remain free for assistive technologies users, but hasn’t done anything to prevent other users from taking advantage of this exception. In other words, even if you are not using a computer running assistive technologies, you can pretend you are and upgrade to Windows 10 for free.

It appears that Microsoft doesn’t perform any verification at all to make sure your computer is running assistive technologies. This loophole practically allows all Windows users to upgrade for free whenever they want.

We’re not sure whether Microsoft left this loophole on purpose or not, so as to allow more users to upgrade to Windows 10. It does seem very unlikely that the tech giant is not aware of the existence of this loophole.
