Frustrating isn’t it; when websites load slowly or don’t load at all. You wish there was a control system in your hands to boost the process somehow, some do, but for many, it is still a mystery when it comes to technology. Exasperation takes over, and you may even call your ISP to fix the connection issues. And, there may be no issue from their end but something from yours. The frustration reaches another level when you are surfing Facebook, and the news feed just fails to load. So how do you fix it? Today, I am going to share with you some of the steps to fix so that you can enjoy surfing Facebook and load the news efficiently. Here they are:
How to Fix Facebook newsfeed when it fails to load
1. Slow Internet:
It may be a fault of your slow internet connection. I know it is quite obvious but sometimes we, as humans, tend to miss the most basic details, don’t we. You can always check the speed of your internet connection by downloading and installing the app like Speedtest. Facebook can consume a lot of data in a short time, especially if you are watching videos. If you are working on a data connection, then switching to a Wi-Fi connection would be a great idea.
2. Facebook may be down
It may be possible that the servers of Facebook are down due to some reason. It happened recently and may happen again. To check if the servers are down or not, you can check it from DownDetector.com . This site gives you multiple options, and you can check the status of many popular platforms for the last 24 hours.
3. Unpreferred Preferences
It may also be possible that your internet connection is fine and Facebook servers’ are up and running, but your preferences are not set quite right. Therefore, you are still getting old & outdated newsfeed. You can always change this from the settings.
4. Reinstall the App
If you have already cleared the cache and the issue hasn’t been resolved, then you can also try to reinstall the application all over again. It may be possible that due to some reasons, the original files of the application would have gotten corrupt. So, reinstalling the application should resolve the matter at hand. After you install the application, log in and check the newsfeed if it has been resolved or not.
5. Update the App
Always keep your app up-to-date. There are many bug fixes and patch releases that are essential for the efficient performance of the application. If there is any update, then you can check it from Play Store or App Store depending on the smartphone you are using. If you find any update then install it and check if the issue persists.
6. Time and Date out Synced
This issue might occur if the date and time of the device are not matching with the time and date of the place. If your smartphone supports the auto-update feature, then you should not face this issue. Otherwise, you can manually update it too. It also occurs when you are traveling abroad. Updating your settings should not take long. Once updated, reload the Facebook page to see the changes.
7. Specs of your Smartphone
Technology is evolving at a faster rate than ever before, and so are smartphones. Nowadays, we can see so many specs in a budget smartphone that were not available even in the expensive ones some time back. So if your phone is low on RAM, CPU or other specs demanded by the application to run smoothly then too, it will lag.
8. Too much load on the RAM
So it may be possible that your phone has a lot of RAM, but at the same time, there are too many apps that are engaging it. They consume a lot of space which may not allow RAM to run all the programs as they should. Clearing the RAM or shutting some applications down can help in solving this problem.
