A highly anticipated feature coming with the Windows 10 Fall Creators update is Timeline, a feature similar to Apple’s Continuity feature that works with iOS and macOS to enable users to switch between Windows 10 devices and to pick up exactly from where they left off. Another exciting this is that it should also work on some Microsoft apps that are running on Android and iOS. But, the nasty part is that if you are one of the userseagerly expecting this new feature, you will be disappointed will be delayed

Timeline will reach users next year

Joe Belfiore from Microsoft announced that Timeline feature would not come along with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and that the company plans on including it in early Insider builds just after the Fall Creators Update is out. Long story short, Timeline will not come out this year, but we hope that it will be included in the next big feature update after the Fall Creators Update which will probably be around March 2018. Insiders will be able to test it much sooner but not until the Fall Creators Update which is scheduled for September.

This is not the first or the only important addition that Microsoft decided to drop from the next feature update. The company also ditched the My People feature which was also expected to be featured in the Creators Update. It got dropped after the company realized the fact that there is no way that My People could be ready in time. The feature will also arrive in the Fall Creators Update and now Windows Insiders are currently still testing it to see how it goes.
