Yesterday, MTN Uganda announced a new music streaming service in partnership with Tidal. With over 57 million songs and as little as Ugx 1,000, MTN customers will start enjoying music streaming services over the MTN network.
Tidal which has over 5 million downloads on the Google Play store is a subscription-based music streaming service that combines lossless audio and high-definition music videos with exclusive content and special features on music.
MTN’s subscription model extends from 1 day to a month to normal customers and MTN Pulse customers. Users can choose use the service with a data plan or without one. Subscription fees starts from Ugx 600/day to Ugx 10,000/day without data.

MTN Uganda joins Safaricom which launched Songa a mobile streaming service in Kenya at the beginning of the year.
