The Telegram Messenger App For Windows Phone Will Soon Support Calls

It looks like Telegram is getting ready to receive VOIP support to the Windows Phone app.

A new call functionality is on its way to the app

Telegram is a privacy-oriented messaging application and its latest update includes a brand new menu slot named “Calls”. Even if under that label you won’t be able to see something else, it does suggest that the call functionality will soon be added, especially after the Telegram desktop application was recently updated with the same new feature.

Telegram’s Photos gallery flaw has been fixed

The update also fixes an issue with the Photos gallery and now it all works smoothly.

The Preview version of this application is used for testing new features only with a smaller userbase and only when things are clear the update will be rolled out to the general users via the regular Telegram Messenger Windows Phone application.

Adding this new call functionality will definitely help Telegram Messenger be even more competitive in its battle with similar rival chat/phone apps such as WhatsApp, Line, and Microsoft’s Skype.
