Tecno Mobile is not resting, and as one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in Africa and arguably the leading smartphone vendor in Uganda, you would not hope for any rest for them. Just the other month, we were talking of the latest member of the Camon family in the TECNO Camon CM, but time seems far ahead of itself.
The latest we can tell is that the company is set to launch an upgrade to the Tecno Camon CX – in April this year at an international launch event, to be held in Lagos, Nigeria. Though we are yet to find out the details, we have – at the least – known phones in the Camon series for their exceptional camera functioning, especially the CX in particular.
This new smartphone is rumoured to possess a unique, previously unheard-of camera feature in the name of blink and snap technology. This feature will allow photography enthusiasts the ability to capture an image when the camera is in Selfie mode by just blinking their eyes, and with the speed of their blink, they will be able to capture multiple fast-moving actions as they happen.

Other notable features to expect include, an 18:9 6-inch Full HD display, 6 or 8 gigz of RAM, up to 128GB of internal memory and Android Oreo out of the box.
It is expected to come in two variants – a Pro and a Lite version, with the latter featuring 3GB RAM and Pro will having 4GB RAM, but with both phones having a 128GB internal storage capability.
