A lot of people believed that once the Creators Update would be released, the public wouldn’t hear of any big updates from Microsoft for a while. That couldn’t be further from the truth as the company has remained on top of its game delivering new content via the Windows Insider platform.
Windows users with access to the Fast Ring of the Preview version also get access to the newest Windows 10 Fall Creators Update features.
Cortana is now a functioning part of Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Edge had a slow start in the sense that it wasn’t get released with all its features. Instead, Microsoft released a pretty stripped down version of it only to add more features over time. Now, it is starting a new chapter in terms of features with the addition of Cortana into its core functionality. With this implementation, users will be able to use Cortana within Microsoft Edge and get faster results and more efficient searches.
Cortana was added as Ask Cortana within Edge’s book reading feature, meaning that it will be most useful when users have inquiries or when it comes to tasks related to reading documents. The addition of the digital voice assistant within the browser’s reading feature marks only the beginning.
Pretty soon, Cortana might get a full implementation that will allow it to be part of everything that goes on the browser, from watching media to searching and even interacting with other people online. Users will benefit most from this feature, with the biggest advantage being Microsoft’s Windows 10 platform and ecosystem being more closely together for a more unified experience.
