Telstra Offering Its Customers 200Gb Of Free Microsoft Onedrive Storage

According to a fresh recent announcement, Telstra is giving its mobile and fixed broadband customers a free two-year 200GB Microsoft OneDrive storage subscription. According to Telstra, this is the largest amount of free file storage available on any Australian network.

Kevin Teoh, Telstra director of Mass Market Mobility, said the following:

Any Telstra customers can redeem his subscription offer through his account on the Telstra website or the 24×7 app. OneDrive was meant to provide free unlimited storage to OneDrive consumer and OneDrive business customers, but Microsoft has changed its decision, angering a lot of users in the process.

Microsoft tried to fix this by allowing all Office 365 Home, Personal, and University users who have subscribed to more than 1TB of storage to be able keep their higher storage amounts for one year. But even here we’ve seen users complaining, as it seems their storage limits had a cap at 1TB. Microsoft’s representative then said it was nothing more than just an accident.

So, as we can see, Microsoft needs to improve OneDrive’s reputation and its partnership with Telstra is just one small step towards achieving that. You should know that Microsoft usually charges $2 per month for 50GB, or $9 per month for 1TB bundled with Office 365, so if you’re a Telstra user, you’re definitely getting it much cheaper.
