For quite some time now, Sway has been the ugly duckling from the Office package, with the Windows 10 app actually being a web wrapper — something not many know. Moreover, it doesn’t even have a Windows 10 Mobile app. However, this doesn’t mean it can’t receive some improvements. According to the Office blog, new features are on the way for this app.

Now, Sway is receiving new styles, QuickStarter and audio clip support, the latter being something users have request for a very long. The company has also asked for feedback on its forums, so if there’s a particular feature you want, use that method to let them know.

The audio clip feature lets users add audio files in several formats (from WAV to MP3 and everything in between) from local storage or even OneDrive to your presentations and Sways. The new styles bring several innovative designs and looks for a better visual aesthetic.

QuickStarter is a tool that helps you begin a new project. It also helps you to choose the most appropriate settings for it, useful especially if you’re new to using the app. This is a helpful tool despite the fact that not many people don’t know about it and it’s a shame that Microsoft did not invest more in promoting it.
