Microsoft launched a second firmware update in April via Windows Update for Surface Pro 4s and Surface Books running the Creators Update aimed at improvements in the audio and the video performance of the Windows 10 tablets.

The Surface Book changelog

Windows Update History Name: Realtek Semiconductor Corp. update for Realtek High Definition Audio(SST)

Device Manager Name: Realtek High Definition Audio(SST) in Sound, video, and gcs

  • 0.1.7895 improves Cortana speech recognition function

These updates are available for Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book devices with the Windows 10 Creators Update installed. Updates are cumulative so when you install the latest updates, you’re also going to get all the previous ones if your device doesn’t already have them.

In order to get these updates go to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update on your Surface device.
