The deal will provide a platform that will enable Centenary Bank customers, majority of whom are in rural areas, to own a digital television set at an affordable fee through a favourable payment plan.
For as little as Shs100,000 instalments per month, customers will be able to acquire Star Times high quality digital television sets and other accessories under an Asset Financing ‘Digital Loan’ Scheme. This money can be paid back over a period of 6 months.
Speaking at the launch, held at Mapeera House, the StarTimes Chief Executive Officer Mr. Andy Wang said that Star Times has a variety of TV sets ranging from 24 inch, 32 inch and 40 inch LED TV which come along with inbuilt decoders both Satellite and antenna; and this partnership, will enable StarTimes to acquire its prime objective of providing affordable digital pay TV services to Ugandan households.
This is because with this kind of loan scheme provided by Centenary Bank, many will be able to afford the LED TVs hence enjoy quality entertainment.
