Star Walk 2 is one of the most popular applications out there, allowing you to view more than 200.000 celestial bodies. This application has been developed by Vito Technology, the same company that has created the Star Walk application, which has been released for iPod Touch and iPhones in 2008 and for iPads in 2011.

The Star Walk 2 application comes with exclusive 3D constellations and artwork, but also with a lot of information regarding planets, satellites, constellations and stars. In order to receive this information, you will just need to direct your device to the sky. The Star Walk 2 comes with a new design, times of sunset and moon phases, real time motion tracking and more.

It is good to know that the Star Walk 2 application is already available for Android and iOS for free, but if you want to purchase it from the Windows Store, you will need to pay 2.99 dollars for it. In addition, the Star Walk 2 application comes with in-app purchases, which means that for some extra content you will need to pay.

We have to agree that this is an awesome application and even if in the Windows Store is not free, we think that it is worth the money. If you want to learn about planets, satellites, constellations and stars, then you should definitely install this application on your mobile device or computer.

The Star Walk 2 application comes with real-time motion tracking. In other words, as you hold your phone up and point it towards the sky, the application will follow your motions using the build-in digital compass in order to match the map on your screen to the stars that are seen from your location. You will be able to find with ease a constellation, star or satellite by using the “Search” function that the application comes with.
