Users of the desktop version of Skype for Windows system can now enjoy a fresh update, available to download now. At the moment, a detailed changelog hasn’t been provided, but Windows Report has reached out to the Skype for more details.

Skype desktop for Windows updated

The new version of Skype doesn’t bring any new features, only bring “performance improvements and general fixes.” This usually means bugs have been squashed and stability has been improved.

Skype’s version number has been bumped up from 7.18.85.112 to 7.21.0.100. The update weighs in around 45MB, signaling the serious work done behind the curtains to create it.

Windows Report has reached out to Skype for a more detailed changelog. Should they provide more details, this story will be updated accordingly. To get the update, go to the Help tab in the Skype app and then select Check for Updates, or download it directly by following this link.
